Project for the Development of an Augmented and Virtual Reality Drone Simulator

MB Level Eleven Studio has implemented the project “Development of an Augmented and Virtual Reality Drone Simulator” No. 02-018-K-0586. The goal of the project is to create an augmented and virtual reality drone simulator that provides advanced training for the protection of critical infrastructure, drone operation, and the adoption of innovations or specialized technologies in the urban development sector.

The planned product — an augmented and virtual reality drone simulator — will deliver advanced training for critical infrastructure protection (e.g., managing natural disasters, vandalism, terrorism threats, mass disorder control, and fire suppression), drone piloting, and the mastery of innovations or specialized tools in urban development.

The uniqueness of the developed product lies in the integration of artificial intelligence recognition models (i.e., object detection and classification tasks) into a virtual reality environment, using synthetically generated real images. This enhances the realism of both the simulated environment and the operator’s sensory immersion.

The project is being implemented under the activity “Encouraging Companies to Digitize” of the Lithuanian Ministry of Economy and Innovation’s 2022–2030 Economic Transformation and Competitiveness Development Program, specifically under the measure “Financial incentives for startups and spin-off companies to develop AI, blockchain, and robotic process automation products and solutions.”
